What Causes Loose Motion After Taking Cerelac?

Hi Doc my daughter is 6 months old & weighs7kg, she is suffering from loose motions from 3-4 days ,she just passes motion a in little quantity every 10-15 minutes & it is semi watery yellow in colour , she is been given electrol powder apart from mothers milk. she started this since we started giving Cerelac feed , please suggest, thank you

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Unless there is blood in the motion there is no need for antibiotics or cultures. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS.
