Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... sir my 6 month old son has loose motion for near to 15 days. its in green color with heavy froth. we consulted a doctor near by home and she told that it is due to severe infection in stomach. his CRP count was 21.4. they gave antibiotics by admitting in hospital for 5 days. the problem reduced. she told it will take 10 to 15 days for complete recovery. now 20 days over after treatment. it decreased first and now increasing. now a days he is doing toilet in green colour and froth 7-8 times per day. night there is no toilet. baby is very active, there is no dehydration but looking lean.actually wat is the real problem of our son? we r maintaining proper hygiene for our baby.is there any relation between crawling and loose motion. if it is there , how long it wil contiue?
Probably what started as viral diarrhea might have got prolonged into antibiotic-associated diarrhea and now is gradually settling.
Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
I suggest you use zinc supplements (Z&D drops) & ORS as hydration is a very important and crucial part of treatment. If there is vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron (as prescribed by your pediatrician).
Regarding diet - You can use cerelac... any flavour will do. Avoid fruit juices as they might aggravate diarrhea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
