What Causes Loose Stools Even After Taking Medicines?

I am having loose motion since past 3 days. Cosulted the physician at our hospital.he given the oral medicin vizyl and zenoflox oz twice daily, later on metrogyl and tarivid given IV Along with two dose of glucose . Loose motion freequency lessened after 2 days but still motion is liquid. One injection called Mikacin also given twice daily.but still when I am going for motion it became liquid.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of loose stools even after taking medicines which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which is a type of viral infection. It could be due to electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper rest. You should do tepid sponging as well if there is fever along with loose stools. You should have plenty of fluids to rehydrate. You should take diet rich in multivitamins. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done to find out underlying cause of your condition whether bacterial or viral and start treatment accordingly. Avoid intake of outside hot and spicy food substances. You should take diet rich in fibres and proton pump inhibitors. Your symptoms will resolve in 3-5 days.
