What Causes Loose Stools In A Baby?

Hi my daughter is 9 months old and she was prescribed taxim o dry syrup 5 ml twice a day for cold and fever. She has also been passing very less amount of loose stool every time she cries or coughs. This has caused severe rashes in near her anus.. What could be the cause of loose stool? She has been very cranky since the time she got the rashes. Please guide.

Please stop taxim o ,as most likely, for her cough and cold she does not need an antibiotic (taxim-o)
The possibility Is, she is having loose stools because of taxim o.
For her cough and cold use saline nasal drops 2-3 drops each nostrlis 5-7 times in a day
Hopefully her cough and cold will settle in a few (4-5) days.
For her rashes at the anal area please apply liberal amount of rash free cream each time she passes a loose stool.
In case her cough and cold does not settle in few days, then she should be seen by a doctor
