Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This suggests acute gastroenteritis. If no fever, stools are not blood stained, and she is playful, no need to worry. Most of these are viral. Just give frequent sips of fluids like ORS in frequent small sips after each stools to prevent dehydration. I also used to give zinc and sometimes a probiotic. Take her to pediatrician if she develops fever, stool becomes blood stained, or she becomes lethargic and not feeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
