Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had three weeks of bout diarreha , it subsided after Family Doctors treatment. Now once in while I get loose motion, may be once in week. This happened when I had full bar of Cholate about 200 gms and once had Mutton curry. Should I take medicine?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of bout of diarrhea, treatment by family doctor and now occasional diarrhea with choco bar andeat. It takes time for complete recovery from a given intestinal infection say about 3 weeks to 3 months. Another aspect is the intolerance thus developed. Hence, I would advise the following: Avoid such heavy foods that can cause problems. Have soft bland diet. Continue probiotics and multivitamins. Get stool test done. And get additional treatment if your Doctor has advised on clinical evaluation, examination and investigations.
