What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Stinging Sensation During Urination While On Cozaar?

I was started on generic cozaar 1 week ago 50 mg. I start that day. Everyday since I have been extremelly fatigue and sleepy.Loss of appetite. I half dose on Sat and felt better sun. Took half pill 25 mg last night and can not stay I feel completly exhaused and sleepy. Some stinging with urination and in process of collecting 24 hr urine to turn in to lab in am. That urine collection is all I am physically capable of doing. should I take any more?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Cozaar(Losartan Potasssium) is an angiotension II receptor blocker. It seems you are having allergic reactions with it. Visit ER at the earliest. Since you are having unexplained weakness, exhaustion, dizziness, pain/ burning when you urinate, you need to call your treating doctor right away. These are the side effects that you are experiencing & you should rush to ER, you need help. At present stop that medication it may hurt your kidney. Keep your self hydrated, take ORS, plain water & juice. Hope I have answered your query.
