What Causes Loss Of Appetite, Weight Loss And Upper Stomach Pain?

I ve had stomach pain for about 8 months. I went to the doctor and I ve had many test done and he says it a hiatal hernia and also gastric Antrum. I can t drink any caffeine or milk, I can t eat anything spicy. Also many other foods. I don t have an appetite and I have to force feed myself, I keep losing weight. Most of the time now, my upper stomach hurts so bad that I can t sit straight up or I have really sharp pains then my chest starts to hurt. I ve told the doctor but he says I need to see someone else. Does anyone know if something else is wrong or is it normal for a hernia??

Hello
I had gone through your question diligently and I will try to help you out in best possible way
Looking at your description this could be due to Acid peptic disease or food poisoning, mal absorption syndrome, food allergy or liver disease like hepatitis
Apart from drugs Acid reflux can be manged with certain dietary and life style modifications like
Avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks
Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
You can take curd, cold milk or fruit juices

You should not stay hungry, have something to eat at frequent intervals because hunger increase acid production
Avoid smoking and alcohol, cafffiene
relaxation exercises to allay anxiety and stress.
Don't lie down immediately after earing something

If you can.provide me more details like your age and presence of any other metabolic illness like diabetes or thyroid and liver disease , I will be able to help you better

In my opinion you should consult a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy if need be

Hope this answers your question
Thanks and regards
