What Causes Loss Of Appetite?

Hello Sir, I am Santosh.B age 21yrs. i am 6.3 height but very thin maybe around 50KG. I don't feel hungry everyday. I eat only 2 times a day that too if i remember that i have to eat, other wise i won't eat only... What disease do i have? Is this a minor problem?

Hi Santosh,

It doesn't sound like you have a disease. You're correct in saying that this is a minor problem. If you don't feel hungry and you energy levels are ok, then you probably just need to eat a bit more. Instead of eating a whole meal three times a day, which you clearly have trouble with, I'd mix in a protein shake such as Ensure, Boost, or Muscle Milk. This will add calories and protein and help you to gain weight. Overall, I wouldn't worry too much about this and you'll gain weight as you age. You're still 21 and your metabolism is likely quite high, and will slow down as you begin to age (and then you'll wish you had this same problem!).
