What Causes Loss Of Bladder Control After Having UTI?

Hello, I am a 54 year old male. I recently suffered from a bladder infection and treated it with antibiotics cranberry juice . I have never had a bladder infection before this. I am now having difficulty controlling my urine flow. When I sleep at night, I lose all control and basically empty my bladder through the course of the night. Can you help me understand why this is happening and what to do about it?

Dear sir,
Urinary tract infection in your age group may be associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia. After recovering from the bladder infection, prostate may have some residual infection or the symptom associated with prostate may be flared up. It is better to get an ultrasound done for prostate and residual urine in bladder. Incontinence in your case may be associated with increased residual urine in your bladder. PSA may also be carried out.
