What Causes Loss Of Body Balance While On Daily Insulin?
hi dr. my brother 74 has kidney problems, daily insulin, stints, over weight slured speech, now loss of balance , week rite knee, has fallen when getting out of chair or struggles. but today his concern is loss of bal. swaying. he does see 2 drs now, I will drive him wed. -------------------------?chet

Hello,
Three important things must be watched.
1st ...being a diabetic patient,the most coommon problem is hypoglycemia and since he is having nephropathy also,the required dose of insulin becomes gradually low.So keep a watch on his sugar levels.
2nd...there may be electrolyte imbalance.Keep him well hydrated.
3rd blood pressure to be monitored
