What Causes Lots Of Clots In Periods, Hot Flashes, Nausea, Fatigue With Mild Cramping?

I had a period lasting less than 24 hours. Started as a normal flow, but with lots of clots. It was light and then a very prominent amount of mucous with bleeding at the end. Lasted less than 24 hours. Also having hot flashes, nausea, fatigue, and mild cramping. I took a home pregnancy test prior to bleeding and it was negative. What is the problem?

Presnce of blood clots denotes heavy bleeding.
As pregnancy has been ruled out its unlikely to be due to spontaneous abortion.
Ifthere is recurrence of clots, would suggest you to consult your Gynecologist
