What Causes Low Blood Pressure After Taking Enalapril 20mg?

Hi, had recent Nstemi 31/2 months ago. Morning dose of Lercadip increased to from 10mg to 20mg 8 weeks ago & have been taking it nocte to control overnight hypertension. Take enalapril 20mg mane. BP has been within normal readings since but over last week has been dropping to 95/50. Realise that I will have to go back to my GP but just wondering which antihypertensive tablet to reduce. Lercadip has been more effective but concerned about high dosage & if it has any long term side effects.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Either can be reduced but if the lercadip was recently increased, you can consider reducing this one but you should speak to your doctor before making any medication changes.

Your doctor would need to confirm the change would be ok

If there is no medical reason preventing it, you should also increase your fluid intake.

I hope this helps
