What Causes Low Hemoglobin Level With Stomach Ulcers?

My hemoglobin count was 120 than 114 now it is 71. I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in the passed 5 years (I m 47 now). Had scopes and colonoscopy done. Found a ulcer and lesions that s all. No bloody stools. Dr says I am bleeding into my stomach?

Thank you for the query.

Bleeding from peptic ulcer can cause low hemoglobin level without any other symptoms. However black like a tar stool should be present. For sure such low hemoglobin level can not be ignored. Please consult gastroslogist as soon as possible. Another gastroscopy is necessary.
If you have intense menses, this can be also the reason. In such case you should visit gynecologist as well.
