Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Pulse Rate While Having Meniere S Disease?
My husband s pulse is very low today - in the 40s and 50s per minute. He also has louder than usual ringing in his ears (he has Meniere s). Does the low heartbeat rate have anything to do with the ringing and overall wooziness and lack of energy. He s 80 years old.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Low pulse rate can caused hypotension and this in turn worsens meniere's disease. Hypotension can also cause dizziness, lack of energy etc. So in my opinion, you should consult doctor for your husband and get done blood pressure monitoring. He may need Intravenous fluids to treat hypotension. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
