What Causes Low Sex Drive?

Hi, my husband complains all the time of being tired and lack motivation for just about anything and there is no desire for sex. He had is testosterone level tested at 10:30 am and it was at 275.9 and then his prolactin level was at 8. Should we seek a specialist to help him out for this?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Your husband has low sex drive and he lacks motivation and remain tired. His testosterone levels came to 275.9 and these levels are almost in normal range. Though in young males the levels are a little high. His prolactin levels are also in normal range. As he is having tiredness, lack of motivation and poor libido, I would advise you to get his Thyroid levels checked. Along with this get his blood sugar levels checked to rule out diabetes. Associated medical illness may cause poor libido.
If everything come normal visit a psychiatrist for help. Medicines like tadalafil, sildenafil helps a lot in improving libido.
Food and supplements rich in yohimbin, fenugreek etc. help in increasing libido.

Thanks
