What Causes Lower Back Pain After Needle Prick Injury To Foot?

I stepped on a stick pen (needle) 2 days ago. The needle went all the way in my right heel. When my husband tried to get the needle out it seemed to be stuck and he had to really pull it to get it out. We tried for sometime to get the puncture to bleed but it wouldn't. My foot then had a sharp burning pain which lasted a few hours and I had episodes where my toes were drawing downward the pain then went to a dull numbing pain all the way up to my lower back. I now can not sit very long at all without my lower back (right buttock) having severe pain and walking seems unbearable at times. Could this be from the needle?
