What Causes Lower Back Pain, Trouble Having Bowel Movement After Davinci Hysterectomy?
I an 4 weeks post DaVinci Hysterectomy. I am having horrible lower back pain, and trouble having a bowel movement. I ve tried various stool softeners to no avail. Any reason I shouldn t use Mag Citrate? Any thoughts on how long the back pain should last? Thanks.
You have undergone Hysterectomy by Da Vinci Robotic method. The procedure remains the same by whichever method you do but there is supposed to be more precision and ease with Robot. Well, the horrible back pain can be due to local problems of back like sprain, muscle spasm, prolapsed disc or so. Hence I would advise you to consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for clinical examination and for any investigations like MRI if necessary to get the exact diagnosis and get treated accordingly. Trouble in passing bowel movements can be due to intestinal problems and if stool softeners and laxatives do not help then consult your operating Surgeon and Gastroenterologist to see for the cause and get treated accordingly. Get all these things as soon as possible to avoid any further complications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
