Hi, I had an L4 laninecomy and some opening of L4and 5. This was done in late November, this past Wednesday afternoon I started to get several back spasms in my lower back that radiates to both obliques and down to both flutes. I can t seem to shake it. I ve been on long term disability since June of 2014. I have several other spinal issues from top to bottom, you name it I ve got it somewhere. Can you give me any Insight? I ve got a message into my neurosurgeon but it won t be until Monday before I hear from him. I take 3 different spasm mess take narcotics as well, I visit a Chiropractor 4-5 times a week as well.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
