Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left lower/last rib (or possibly just the point) sticks out more than the right does, it has done so since I was a teenager (I am 30 now) and it is very noticeable. No one else in my family has anything like this, it is not generally painful but does ache on occasion & gets sore if I wear very fitted cloths or tops with boning in them. What could it be? Is there anything I can do about it?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you has difference between your left and right rib and left in more prominent. Some differences are there present normally in many persons. There is no treatment is needed and there is no treatment available .It is not any disease, only abnormal development. You can take analgesic whenever you have pain. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
