What Causes Lower Right Side Back Pain Whenever I Lie Down Or Cough?

Hi. I just finally begun to feel better after a nasty spell of food poising in Zanzibar. I am backing the US and my back is in pain especially the lower right side and especially when I lay dow or cough. My coughing is from my allergies as the seasons change. But each cough (about one an hour) is super painful in the back area.

Hi,

Such pain in back with allergic cough can be due to kidney infection, lumber spondylitis, muscle pull, and exclusion of lung infection is needed. Please consult your physician, a detailed physical examination and needful investigation would pin point the cause followed by cause specific treatment. Till then pain medicine over the counter taken twice after food would give you some relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
