Hi. Um I run a lot and I've been getting an extremely sharp pain on my lower left side of my stomach. I can barely walk or even move after getting this. I heard that most cramps are on the right side of the stomach. And I was just wandering what that may be. Or should I plan a visit to the doctor?

What Causes Lower Stomach Pain?
Hi welcome to the health care magic Here 2 possibility has to be ruled out... First it can be stomach ulcer, gastritis, colitis like pain from gastrointestinal problem... Second can be from musculoskeletal pain if pain occurs in particular position (as history of running present) and aggravated even on deep breathing For gastritis or ulcer problem pantoprazole prescribed for two week.. Cooked oatmeal help in soothing Gastric irritants avoided like excess tea, coffee, smoking etc... Warm compress beneficial and take rest for few days If no improvement then USG abdomen investigation needs to be done Take care Hope your concern solved Consult nearby physician for examination and discuss all these with him/her
