What Causes Lump Near The Neck With Pus Formation And Itching?
A 73 year old male friend with history of throat cancer has a large lump on his neck that is getting larger and larger. When it itches and he scratches, lots of puss comes out that smells badly. I strongly suggested he make a doctor's appointment. He stated that in the past he visited 2 doctors and they told him not to worry.

This sounds like a sebaceous cyst. They are benign and that is probably why the doctor tol him not to worry. He could see a dermatologist for removal of it bothers him.
