I have a painful lump above my collarbone near my neck, it hurts when i touch it or move my neck and inside there is a little hard knot. The swelling has been reducing day by day, but I am concerned about what this is? There are no signs of redness or bruising I did get a flu shot and the TDAP shot
Hi, The lump you are talking appears to be enlarged lymph nodes. They are usually when there is infection in the surrounding area. It will be painful and slowly as the infection subsides with or with out treatment, it would disappear. If you want you can get a test called as fine needle aspiration cytology done. It will confirm or rule out anything else if you are worried about. If you have any further queries, happy to help you again.
