What Causes Lump On The Left Side Of The Rib In A 6 Month Old?

My 6 month old daughter has a knot/lump on her left side on a rib. We did a sono and the radiologist said she thinks it is just thickening of her ribs? She also said she doesn't think it is anything to worry about and doesn't think it is anything malignant but to be sure she suggested doing a set of rib x-rays. We really don't want to expose her to radiation unless necessary but would like to know what it is.

Thanks for your query.
It is almost always normal to have such finding in babies.
Still to confirm the diagnosis you should go for x-ray.
