What Causes Lung Pain?

my daughter (14) keeps having pain in her *lungs* . Tonight she is in tears and says it is on both sides. Inhaler not working. Ped gave her inhaler over a year ago but also said she didn t think it is asthma and really didn t know what it is? What should we do?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done
1. PFT ( PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST )
2. Chest X ray.
Bilateral lung pain can be seen in bronchitis and infection.
So PFT is needed to rule out bronchitis and asthma.
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
And don't give inhalers. For symptomatic relief you can give painkiller and muscle relaxant.
