What Causes Membranous Vaginal Discharge?

I am a 30 year old female,
There is a fleshy like pink membrane coming out of my vagina
I've had it for about 10 years now
it's about 3 " long from the opening and half an inch thick
It's always bleeding
What could it be ? Is it common? and How can I get it removed ?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello and welcome,

The description is similar to a cervical polyp as being the cause of your trouble. These are small non cancerous tumors of the cervix and can assume any shape. Mostly spherical or leaf like.

It can be easily diagnosed by a per speculum examination and removed by a simple procedure called polypectomy. So please get an examination and then your doctor will guide you through the procedure.

Please do not worry, these are very very common and you have already waited so long. Please see your doctor and a small procedure will help in curing the problem.
Hope this satisfies your query.
