What Causes Memory Loss And Weakness Having Thyroid And Diabetes?

Hi,
My father has thyroid and he is taking thyronorm 125 mcg. His TSH is 0.12. Please tell which kind of thyroid it is. Should he avoid taking Vitamin C rich food like amala, spinich, almond and all.
Also his hemoglobin is dropped to 8 due to which we were giving him all iron rich food and food which absorbs iron fast. Now the problem is that he is feeling drowsyness and memory loss. Also feels week. In past he had diabetes but from almost 6 months the diabeties medicines are stopped and till now he has not taken diabetes medicines.
Please guide me with same as we are really tensed to see him like this.

Hi I am Dr Nallammai
Welcome to HCM
Ur father is having hypothyroidism
Which may be due to many causes most common cause being multi nodular goitre which occurs due to iodine deficiency
T.eltroxin which he takes should be taken in empty stomach.. In early morning
Diabetes is silent killer which affects almost every organ in the body
A person once diagnosed as diabetic should undergo treatment lifelong..
So go to ur physician and check his blood sugar levels and start with hypoglycemic drugs
For anemia dietary supplements is must which includes iron rich food like dates, green leafy vegetables, meat,etc..in addition he should take iron tabs as per ur physician's advice
For memory loss I would like to know his age..only then I can comment
Dizziness may be due to hypothyroidism for which thyroid levels should be checked every 6 months and lifelong treatment
