What Causes Memory Loss, bruised Stomach Area And Weight Loss?

Hi, can you help me?

My granddad has already had about 3 heart attacks already this year. He's been in and out of hospital. He sometimes has memory loss for a few days and then is back to normal.

But this time, he's also very tired and when he lays down it's no problem, when he gets up again, his stomach area looks bruised and then he's tired.

The problem is, he's in Vietnam and the doctors doesn't know what's wrong with him. They had put something in his blood; which they said would help trace something to see what they can find, but they still don't know.

When he was taken to the hospital, they found that his arm was broken. But he said he wasn't in any pain. I'm trying to look for anything on-line with similar symptoms, but it's hard because I don't know what I'm looking for.

He's been in the hospital for about a week now and we're worried. He's also loss weight because he's not eating properly as well.

I don't know if you can help, but any response from you would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry to hear about your father. This sounds like your father has dementia. That dementia could be related to his recent change in health. The stress to his body from heart attacks will cause memory and thinking problems. His inability to remember whether he broke his arm is a manifestation of changed mentation from disease. I recommend that you have your father return to you as soon as possible. He will need supervision and assistance with his health since he has be unable to make his wishes and needs known properly.
