What Causes Metallic Odor Post Sex After IUD Insertion?
I m going to my ob gyn today. I m an American living in Cyprus now. Two months ago I got my IUD inserted. After the first month during sex there was a smell like metal and something sour. So I went to my doc and complained about it. I took a test and the results were a toilet bacteria. So then the doc gave me a antibiotics once a day for 7 days. I got my period last week during this process and now that it finished, I tried sex again and still there was a smell. So Im going to today to tell the doc that I am concerned that the IUD is causing this odor. What could this be?

No, IUD can't be responsible for this because this has come only after sex. It could be related with infection in your partner semen so get him checked as well. Then may be your bacteria has not been cured completely so further antibiotics are needed
