Hi, The last week or so I have developed a metallic salty taste in my mouth. Also, I currently have a mild flare of diverticulitis. Six months ago, I had a cholecystectomy due to gallstones and appendectomy due to appendicitis. Since then, I have a different right upper quadrant pain and intermittent dry heaves as well as greasy/floaty mucousy stools. I take lisinopril and Prevacid. I figured the bowel changes and dry heaves are due to changes after surgery and now my current mild diverticulitis, but what could be causing the metallic salty taste?
other causes poor oral hygiene, bleed from mouth or nose, infection, pregnancy, dementia, chemical exposure etc..
