What Causes Mild Concussion In A 15 Year Old Child?

My 15 year old son incurred a mild concussion over a month ago while playing soccer and during a game last Saturday he came out of the game as he felt disoriented and he stated that it felt like things were shifting around in his head, especially around the front and both sides of his head. He did not have a headache or experience any blurred vision but he says that it feels like his head shakes or shifts.

Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Your son's complaints could be related to Benign positional paroxysmal vertigo, which is an inner ear disorder, related to the head trauma.
For this reason, I recommend consulting with the ENT specialist for a careful physical exam and performing labyrinthine tests.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
