Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your father has enlarged prostate with chronic prostatitis which is common at this age.
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digitral rectal examinations and get following basic tests done 1) Urine routine and Culture .
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen
3) Serum P.S.A.

Please give him alpha blockers like Tomsulosin and Ddutastreride along with urinary antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin.

Further treatment will depend upon results of these tests and final diagnosis.

He may need to undergo surgery of endoscopic resection of prostate (TURP)
This will help to resolve his problem permanently.
