What Causes Miscarriage At 11 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I just had a miscarriage at 11 weeks... and the Doctors at the ER really didn t tell me much of anything as to why it happened or if they could even guess when?And, I have so many unanswered questions.. like why did this happen? I seemed like I was doing just fine my body was already starting to change due to the pregnancy..did my baby ever have a heartbeat? and, could this have been something I did.. like cleaning with bleach, or lifting stuff at work...I m just really bothered by this.

Hi,

Miscarriage happens due to lot of reasons. It may due to lot reasons. It can due chromosomal or any other embryological abnormalities. Heartbeat for the baby usually starts during 5th or 6th week of pregnancy. It will shown in the first scan or dating scan or viability scan. It does not depend much on type of work you do. Do not stress yourself. If you want to know the exact cause then if you discuss with your doctor they will send the aborted tissue to histopathological study. Before planning the next pregnancy you need a preconception counseling, folic acid should be started 3 months prior planning pregnancy.
