Hi, I took cytotec for an abortion in August, I took 2 and insert 2 but it didn t come out, after some days I took another 2 and insert 1 then it came out with a heavy flow and some clots after that day I didn t have a heavy flow again I had no cramps at that moment, my cramps started after some days. I Bleed for almost a week though but it wasn t a heavy flow. When the bleeding stopped I went for a scan to check if the clots are all out, n it came out cleared. But after since August I didn t see my period in September and now this is October am worried what is going on and what should I do?
Since you had prolonged bleeding after miscarriage, your menses can get delayed. However, you must be cent percent sure that you had no sexual contact and have not conceived fresh. If you have had any unprotected sexual relation during this period, then please get your urine tested for pregnancy.
If you are not pregnant, it is advisable that you induce your menses now since it is more than 2 months of amenorrhoea. You may take some Progestational preparation like Deviry for 5 days with the advice of your Gynaecologist; then within 4-7 days you should get withdrawal bleeding.
