What Causes Mucus And Blood In Stools?

hello doctor,
i have sometimes passing mucus and slight blood in the stools.i 'm not suffering from constipation.i had colonoscopy 6 months ago and the result showed that i have internal heamarroids and colon grossly appeared normal...doctor told me not to worry...plz help me sir.

Hello,

Mucous or blood in stools may be due to infection like bacillary or amoebic dysentery. It may be due to irritable bowel syndrome or malabsorption syndromes or food Intolerance.

Avoid spicy food and dairy products. Avoid smoking. Use tablet Oflox ornidazole twice a day for five days. Take tablet Normaxin twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please get it done stool examination, and get treated accordingly.
