Hi, my 5 months old is on nutramigen AA and has been doing fine, 2 weeks ago she started passing mucus in the stool, the analysis came back negative, but i dont understand why she has mucus in her stool... and it is not getting any better... but no other symptoms, she is fine otherwise... thanks
Dear parent, mucus in stools at times may be a normal occurring, a sub clinical infection taken care off by body itself, at times small frequent motions are due to respiratory infection too as the child is unable to spit, he swallows the flegm. It then comes out in the for of mucus. Just keep a watch.
