What Causes Nausea After Taking An Over The Counter Allergy Medication?

My 16 year old daughter has been experiencing itching on her legs, most increased at night for several weeks and within last two weeks experiencing itching on the pinky finger and ring finger of one of her hands. She said that putting lotion (Eucerin) burns and it is difficult to bend those two fingers. We went to see a dermatologist three weeks ago and told her to take an over the counter allergy medicine at night is not uncommon. she says that he stomach is feeling nausea. She has not eaten anything out of the norm.

Hi,

Nausea is a very common side effect of anti allergy medication. I suggest you to continue the medication. The side effect will go away on it s own in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
