Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Nausea And Lower Abdominal Pain With Constipation?
Hello, I am a 23 year old female and for the past month I have been having episode of nausea (not vomitting, even after ive just eaten), pelvic/lower abdominal pain, not having bowel movements everyday and when i do its watery, im tired and have a loss of appetite. My periods are regular lasting up to four/five days.
Symptoms of headache, nausea, loss of appetite could be symptoms of hepatic disease (Liver infection).
Beside this it could be due to GI infection among them viral infection is pretty common, although it is self-limiting condition but bed rest is must.
You can have light diet if the disease is proved, and if it is not the case and it is just nonspecific symptoms, then most probably it could be dyspepsia.
You can try tablet Domperidone three times in day, but it is better and advisable to rule out the hepatic disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
