Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i went to my OB today becuase I was experiencing pain in my lower left groin, abdomen and back and also my right abdomen next to my belly button and mid upper right back. I felt I may have an ovarian cyst and so saw my OB to rule out this possibility. He said my ovaries and uterus were normal, but from the vaginal ultrasound he could see a large amount of fluid in my bowels. He recommended I see a gastroenterologist. I have been in pain for over a week, it is getting worse and now I have nausea after drinking and nausea and vomiting after eating. I have no fever, which all web information lists as a must have symptom if I need immediate help. Should I wait to see my gastroenterologist on Monday, or head to the ER. My pain is worse as night (and I have to get up in the night about every hour to pee).
So far your symptoms narrated except increased pee frequency associated pain in Left groin and upper rt back and near belly button are relevant enough, as the vomiting after food and nausea are not really specific and could be reflex phenomenon including unusual fluid noted inthe bowel loops in consideration of the important pain trio in question. I guess it is possibly due a left sided kidney stone coming down toward bladder and referred pain noted by you on rt side of urinary system too due to normal crossing of nerves to other side . It is good to see a urologist to confirm especially if you had similar experience of pain and eventual handling of urinary stone in past. Otherwise your GP can help this time. Do give us your feedback when relieved
