What Causes Nausea And Stomach Cramps While Using Duspatalin?
Hi, I had a colonoscopy and the doctor said that i had IBS with constipation and that my colon was 50% longer than normal. First he prescribed Constella which gave me sever diarrhea and now I am taking Duspatlin retard 200mg before breakfast and dinner. During and after dinner I feel not well at all. Nausea, stomach cramps and constipation. Sometimes I feel dizziness as well. I take the medication right before I eat without waiting, could that be causing the problem? Is the dosage too high? In the morning it is fine and I am able to go to the bathroom. After lunch I don t feel great either but Dinner is the worst. It really is effecting the quality of my life and not sure what to do.
Dusplatin retard (mebeverine) is used to provide symptomatic relief of irritable bowel syndrome. 200mg twice a day is the normal dosage. The medication is advisable to be taken 20 minutes before food intake. Do not chew the tablet, but swallow the whole tablet with sufficient quantity of water. If you are taking accordingly till now and still you have symptoms, contact your consultant for change in medications. Hope the above information helps you. Thanks.
