What Causes Nausea And Stomach Rumbling Along With Gas?

I was just diagnosed with colitis a couple of days ago after a episode of food poisoning. Is the constant stomach rumbling normal and how long should I expect to go through this. Everything has ceased except the nausea, mild stomach pains and now I have the stomach rumbling along with gas.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
It is worthwhile to note that you have not mentioned anything about the treatment that you have received.
The food poisoning is necessarily an infection of the intestinal tract. The rumbling, pain and nausea means that there is no complete cure.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Send the stool for tests.
Get started with a proper antibiotic active against intestinal infection, metronidazole.
Take probiotics and a PPI like Omeprazole, activated charcoal.
Oral fluids and rehydration along with electrolyte solution.
This will cure all your problems.
Also take boiled and cooled water and home-made foods only.
Avoid outside food.
