Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If symptom of hematemesis continues then it is a medical emergency. Else just a single episode need to be confirmed for pure hematemesis, because diet may be the cause that could mimic blood. Apart from this it can be gastritis. Here you have given very little clinical information so not much can be said, but it has to be taken seriously.

Keep your eyes open, if the symptoms persist then you have to see the ER. Fever with vomiting could be the case of viral infection, it may be throat infection that may have the lesion and it would be enough for bleeding.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
