Hi, after gallbladder surgery 5 years ago I had periods of feeling sick, with green tongue, nausea, emts. vomiting. Lat time it was after antibiotics. This time I don t know what caused it, but it is worse than ever. Besides, I feel like almost fainting for three days. Where can I find a specialist in New York to deal with it?
Dear- thanks for using our service. Gallbladder is very important for digestion and when you have gallbladder surgery, the digestion becomes slow and can produce bloating, nausea and vomit. Antibiotics can irritate the stomach and make you prone to these symptoms, specially if you don't have gallbladder. However, if your symptoms are getting worse, you should see a gastroenterologist. They can perform an ERCP which is a procedure similar to an upper endoscopy but the tube is longer and goes down to the duodenum and can see the area where the gallbladder was and evaluate the tubes to make sure that you don't have sludge there. I hope that my advise has been helpful. Dr.Sara
