What Causes Negative Pregnancy Test That Changes To Positive After Some Time?

My period was about 6 days late so I took a home pregnancy test and it said negative but within 30 mins later I was curious and looked at it again and it was positive, does this mean I am pregnant? I am planning on taking another test in a few days, but I was just wondering if the negative was wrong?

It could be weakly positive. Repeat the test again and then get an ultrasound. Avoid Unprotected sexual intercourse.
