What Causes Nerve Pain In Right Ankle?

My 86 year old mother has flashing nerve pain in her right ankle. What do I do for her symptoms and it is serious? She recently had a fall on her buttocks area and is bruised and swollen in that area. Are the symptoms in her rt ankle related to the fall?

flashing nerve pain in ankle is not due to the fall on buttock. pain in ankle is due to sprain or tarsal tunnel syndrome. in neither case it is related to fall on buttock.
take anti inflammatory drug (ibuprofen) with antacid (famotidine) twice a day for a week.
