What Causes Night Sweats, Abnormal Vaginal Discharge And Abdominal Pain During Menopause?

HELLO, I am post menopausal. I haven t had a period for almost 3 years. I still have occasional night sweats. For the past week, i have been experiencing quite a bit of vaginal discharge, but no itching or burning. I have to wear a panty liner because it feels like I m peeing! Its a thin, watery discharge too. I also have slight discomfort in my lower abdomen. Is this normal for post menopause?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Menopausal women with bleeding PV mostly due to endometriosis or vaginosis or cervicitis or PID or malignancy of the uterus or cervix etc.

Until examination is done by ultrasound abdomen and colposcopy it difficult to say what it is.

Please get it done ultrasound abdomen, vaginal secretions culture and sensitivity and colposcopy.

Then your gynecologist will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
