Hi,
A pinched nerve can certainly cause the symptoms that you have described. As you age, the discs get dessicated and dried and the intervertebral space may decrease which causes the nerve to get pinched. I suggest you talk with a spine specialist and get started on medications initially with a bit of physical therapy. If that doesn't help, you will require an MRI to see the extent of involvement and get treated accordingly.
