General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an injury of the knee. I suggest:
- Rest your knee when you have pain and swelling and avoid weight-bearing activities
- Use over-the-counter pain relievers or anti-inflammatories as needed
- Put your leg up and apply ice to the knee for 15 to 20 mins

If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see an orthopedist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
