What Causes Numbness In Leg Post Uterine Polyp Removal?

32yrs old, 5 8 155lbs. Female. I had polyps removed from my uterus, a D&C, and both of my labia minora removed on Tues. I now have a large black lump on my majora as well as numbness of my right side that goes the whole way down my leg into my toes. Is this normal?? Is the numbness related??

Hi,

The numbness in the leg can be related to the effect of anesthesia or analgesia used for the surgery. This can also be due to mild nerve root compression.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rakhi Tayal,
OBGYN
